Small Town Monsters is returning in 2026 with a whole new slate of content! Last year we celebrated a decade as an independently owned documentary film company, which never would have been possible without the unending assistance and encouragement of our incredible backers. Through your constant support, we have grown from a simple idea into a small, dedicated crew that works tirelessly to bring you quality content via films, episodic series, and books. All of our projects have the same ultimate goal: to document and preserve cryptid and paranormal related stories and experiences that have shaped people’s lives and communities throughout generations.
Again, it cannot be stressed enough that none of this exists without the support and faith of our backers! With each successfully funded Kickstarter, we are given the opportunity to continue to create quality content honoring both researchers and experiencers as well as the folklore and history related to the communities that have experienced all manner of strange phenomena.

Dogman Legacy
There is an ancient being lurking in the shadows of human history. Our ancestors called it the werewolf. Today we call it Dogman. Aaron Deese and Shannon LeGro return for a third examination of both a very old and frighteningly modern phenomenon in Dogman Legacy, continuing the hunt which began in The Dogman Triangle: Werewolves in the Lone Star State and Dogman Territory: Werewolves in the Land Between the Lakes.

Journey to Ape Island
Aleksandar Petakov joins forces with Jason Hewlett, co-founder of the Canadian Paranormal Society, in search of one of British Columbia’s most elusive legends. The Journey to Ape Island will take viewers to the historic Vancouver Island, a place long said to be the home of strange beings, nestled away off the far-flung southwestern coast of British Columbia, Canada. Follow Aleks and Jason on a globetrotting adventure to a truly mythical locale.

On the Trail of UFOs: Season 2
Shannon LeGro and Seth Breedlove return for another investigation into the strange lights that populate our skies. Joined by Aaron Deese and covering a roster of new locations, eyewitness encounters and historical cases, On the Trail of UFOs: Season 2 will continue the road-trip feel of the early series and films. Our community has been asking for a long time when OTTO UFOs would make a comeback, and we’re glad to let you know that it’s finally happening in 2026.

The Sasquatch Factor
Small Town Monsters will attempt our most comprehensive overview of the Sasquatch phenomenon to date, examining reports and anecdotes from all across the map. Details are forthcoming but this project is already shaping up to be a massive undertaking, and we’re very excited to share more in the coming months. This episodic series will springboard from Aaron Deese’s book, Sasquatch: Variable but will very much be its own entity.

Werewolf: The Dogman Legacy
Aaron Deese’s third foray into the Dogman phenomenon attempts to take in the whole scope of these ongoing sightings. From the early tales of werewolves spread across the world to the modern encounters with upright canines, Werewolf: The Dogman Legacy will ask where the werewolf stories end and the Dogman sightings begin, following the upright canine’s trail throughout human history to its modern end in the cryptozoological lexicon.

Sasquatch: Variable
What is the Sasquatch Variable? From Aaron Deese, Sasquatch: Variable attempts to examine the disparate parts of the “Sasquatch Encounter Phenomenon”, asking simply what it is about Bigfoot that has prevented human beings from “finding” it, and what the future may have in store for the research community as technology and conversations continue to develop. Featuring interviews with members of Project Zoobook, The Olympic Project, Wild and Weird West Virginia, Micah Hanks and many others, Sasquatch: Variable will examine both the phenomenon itself, and the varied perspectives of those involved in the ongoing search for Bigfoot.

Hello everyone! Thanks to you, we’ve made STM history and hit 100% of our initial funding goal in less than 27 hours. Thank you!!! This is a huge milestone and we truly appreciate all of your support. But it’s not over yet! With almost a month left in the campaign we have plenty of time to unlock additional rewards - three Stretch Goal rewards are already waiting in the wings, and as the campaign progresses, we’ve got plenty of additional ideas.
If you’ve already made your pledge (thank you!) you can still help by spreading the word. Stretch rewards are automatically added on for backers at all physical levels once the goal has been reached, so the more backers who join the campaign, the more items will be added on to your reward package.
