Behind the Scenes of On the Trail of... UFOs
If you follow us on Facebook and Instagram you may have gotten a look at our most recent shoot for On the Trail of… UFOs. This leg of the trip took us from Florida to North Carolina, Ohio up through New Hampshire and back. The newest installation in our On the Trail of series is going to cover a massive swath of the American countryside! Check out these stills from scenes shot along New Hampshire’s coastline... and one particularly important (to the subject) small town.
On the Trail of UFOs arrives April, 2020 and is slated to be the next release from Small Town Monsters.
For a little preview, check out the latest Monsteropolis episode! Seth and Shannon LeGro of Into the Fray met with and interviewed a UFO witness. During their time with Dan they drove to the sighting location and uncovered some intriguing details regarding this unknown case from the early 90s. The whole story will be revealed as part of On the Trail of UFOs next year but for now you can hear the entire, uncut sit-down interview and learn some of the details of this encounter which featured multiple witnesses.

MOMO: The Missouri Monster and Volume 3: Monsters of the Midwest is now available!
The year was 1972 and the place was a tiny, quaint, riverfront town called Louisiana, Missouri. On a warm summer evening two local kids saw a creature in their own backyard and before you could say the word “Bigfoot” the local media and police officials alike had pounced on the story. Overnight Louisiana became “monster central” with creature seekers and monster hunters combing the woods to look for “the thing” that the newspapers had dubbed “MOMO”.
One particular family was at the center of this whirlwind of activity and as the Missouri Monster sightings began to increase, so did the negative impact on the Harrisons.
In 1975, a film crew set out to tell an over-the-top, filmic version of the MOMO sightings. Due to one reason or another, this grindhouse, should-have-been-cult-classic was never released. Until now…
In this latest film from Small Town Monsters experience the MOMO encounters like never before! Equal parts documentary and narrative horror film, MOMO: The Missouri Monster seeks to examine a decades old case, and to uncover the impact a “creature feature” can have on a local legend. Delve deep into the heart of “monster mania” in this, the largest undertaking of its kind!

On the trial of…Champ chronicles North America’s most infamous lake monster, affectionately known as “Champ”.
Shot on location at Lake Champlain, Vermont/New York, USA, On the trail of…Champ dives deep into the rich history of the region in connection with Champ, as well as Champ’s cultural impact in many of the rural communities that border the lake.
Various eyewitnesses of the creature recall their encounters, including Sandra Mansi, who in 1977 took a photo of the creature considered by some to be the best evidence for any lake monster.
Katy Elizabeth of Champ Search, as well as Scott Mardis & William Dranginis, comprise of research teams using different methods and state of the art technology to document and prove the existence of monsters in Lake Champlain. Their hunt for the creature takes them from the deep waters of the lake to its winding rivers and primeval swamps and marshlands.
While definitive proof of Champ is yet to be claimed, the monster has certainly succeeded in captivating the hearts and minds of many people, whether witnesses, researchers or fascinated locals. These are their stories…on the trail of Champ.
Directed and told from the perspective of Seth Breedlove, "On the Trail of... Bigfoot" was filmed across the United States during 2018. In scope, it's one of the most ambitious projects Small Town Monsters has ever attempted. But don't look for our typical recreations or terrifying animated sequences here. "On the Trail of" is a scaled-back, ground level approach to epic subjects.
A series that allows one filmmaker to bring their own, singular vision to a huge subject and offers a unique storytelling opportunity for the audience, as well as the teller. In March 2019, you'll travel to Mount St Helens, home of one of the most infamous Bigfoot encounters in history, as well as the mountainous regions of the Olympic Peninsula, the darkest southern swamps of Arkansas, the temperate rainforest -like regions of southeastern Oklahoma, the lushly forested Carolina, the hills and hollers of Kentucky and West Virginia, and the dense wooded sections of New York, Ohio, and Pennsylvania.
Along the way you'll revisit some places you've traveled to in our films (Minerva, the Chestnut Ridge, and Fouke), and see some familiar faces.
